0:05- Maybe you won’t have to wait 6 months for a Peloton anymore
After the market closed yesterday evening, Peloton announced that they were acquiring fitness manufacturer Precor in a deal worth $420M. This deal, which will become official in 2021, allows Pelton to utilize Precor’s 625k sq. ft. of manufacturing space to help handle demand. On the same day that the largest EV maker (by market cap) was added to the S&P 500, Reuters reported that the Apple Car is still full speed ahead in Cupertino. So is Jill.”
1:07- If you think you’re secure online, you’re probably lying to yourself
During an analysis done by the WSJ, they confirmed 24 different organizations that had installed software associated with the Russian hack of SolarWind. These companies ranged from Cisco and Intel to Deloitte and VMware to Kent State University and California hospitals. Those are only the confirmed cases though — potentially more than 18,000 of SolarWinds’s customers may have been infected with the malicious code.
1:24- Santa saved by R̶u̶d̶o̶l̶p̶h̶ firemen
We’re not exactly sure how this happened, but a paraglider dressed as Santa Claus landed in power lines in California, and was stuck there for more than an hour until a fireman could rescue him safely. We hope that’s not a sign for how Christmas will go.
Have a great rest of your day, and we’ll see you tomorrow bright and early!
