Late last night, the second Covid stimulus bill was announced. The total package was worth a combined $900Bn, and features direct payments of up to $600 per adult (& child), $284Bn for PPP loans, $25Bn for rental assistance, and $82Bn for education providers. Oh, and they also passed a new $1.4Tn spending bill so the government won’t shut down.
0:20- This feels like the beginning of a new pandemic...
After the confirmation that a new strain of Covid had been found in the UK, many countries in the EU began to ban entry from the country. Germany, France, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Ireland, and the Netherlands were the first wave of countries to do so, however it may be too late. Yesterday Italy announced that they had also confirmed their first case... who came in on a flight from the UK.

In a year marred by uncertainty, college football still moved forward at every opportunity. As the conferences wrapped up their championship games yesterday, the CFB committee released their penultimate (and controversial) rankings, with Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State, and Notre Dame all cracking the top four and receiving bids to the playoffs.
