On Thursday, Google and Amazon were fined a combined $163 million by an arm of the French government, a record amount. CNIL, the data governance agency, indicated that both companies have violated a policy that prohibits storing cookies on websites without first asking the users. They both have since updated their sites, but not adequately enough, and if not fixed in the next 90 days will face fines of €100k a day.

Late last night, the FDA officially authorized Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccine, finally bringing a solution to the problem that has affected more than 15.7 million Americans since March. An initial shipment will bring more than 2.9 million doses across the country in the next week. NYC citizens will be particularly happy at this news as Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered all indoor dining closed starting on Monday.

Darth Vader, Buzz Lightyear, and Bambi all walk into a streaming service, and the investors lose their minds. During yesterday’s Disney investor day, they announced what seemed like a trillion different shows and movies for Disney+, which included new Marvel and Star Wars films. Today, off of that news, the stock ($DIS) just absolutely flew to an all time high, and closed at $175.72, up 13.6%.
