Yesterday the jobs report for March was released, and the numbers were significantly better than the 675k increase predicted by analysts. More than 916k jobs were created during the month, making it the largest rate of growth since August 2020. The largest increase was found in the leisure and hospitality sector with 280k, while bars and restaurants were second with 176k jobs created. On top of that the unemployment rate for the country fell to 6%.
0:25- Crypto goes public
The crypto exchange Coinbase announced on Thursday that its much anticipated IPO is currently set for April 14th, and that it’s currently planning on releasing its earnings for Q1 2021 this upcoming Tuesday, April 6th. This plan deviates from the normal standard for companies looking to go public as investors will have only slightly more than a week to set a price for the company to offer its shares at.
0:43- “We need to talk”
The United States and Iran are currently planning on convening next week in Vienna, Austria to discuss reviving the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement, marking the first effort by the Biden administration to communicate with the country. Joining them will be senior officials from all of the participants, including France, Germany, the UK, Russia, China, and representatives from the EU. Although Iran has claimed that they’ve ruled out any direct talks with the US over nuclear matters, this will be the first face to face meeting since late 2017, right before the US withdrew from the agreement.
1:09- Tesla breaks their own records again
Tesla announced this week that they had delivered a record number of vehicles during Q1 despite struggles with semiconductor supply. According to their report, they achieved more than 184k deliveries, which was roughly 2% more than last quarter, the previous high. With the current trajectory Tesla is expected to make 2021 its second year fully in the black.

After massive wildfires in the state, a new drone named DroneSeed is helping landowners reseed their land up to 6x faster than by hand for an incredibly low cost. Replanting by drones also cuts the cost by up to 60-70%.
