Happy Sunday everyone, I hope you all have a relaxing day planned. You earned it.
0:04- Need something to keep you entertained as the country enters its second wave of lockdowns?
The PS5 begins at $399 for a digital edition, or $499 for the traditional version. It boasts a custom eight core AMD Zen 2 CPU, and has a GPU that can produce 10.28 teraflops of graphical power (spoiler, that’s a lot), leading to load times that are up to 5x faster than its predecessor.
The Xbox Series starts at $299 for the digital only Series S, and goes up to $499 for the Series X. The more expensive Series X targets games at 4K resolution with 60fps, whereas the smaller Series S only achieves 1440p at the same frame rate. That being said, the real selling point of the Xbox line this generation is the backwards compatibility for “thousands” of games dating back to the original Xbox.
0:38- Everything looks good until it isn’t
In other words, don’t count those financial chickens until they’re cashed out. Earlier this week, two of the highest ranking central bankers said that there are still tremendous economic risks associated with the Covid virus. Particularly, the Federal Reserve Chair, Jerome Powell, said that the next couple of months could be “challenging”, and that consumers should be cautious about putting too much faith in a quick fix that would come from a vaccine. This news is especially relevant as the odds of a second government stimulus get lower and lower with each day.
1:03- Everyone’s dream car? The Hongguang Mini! Wait, what?
When people in America tend to think of electric cars, they generally picture Teslas. But in China, that’s not the case. The Hongguang Mini, produced by GM’s joint venture brand Wuling, costs only $4,300 and tops out at 62mph. However, it’s good enough for China, and is selling faster than Usain Bolt in roller blades.
1:16- Free college?!
Joe Biden repeatedly said that he would agree to forgive up to $10,000 of student loan debt per American to help ease tensions caused by the pandemic. Unfortunately for students, this plan largely hinges on the Democrat’s control of the Senate- without it he faces an uphill battle, and it’s not looking good.
1:28- An interesting idea-
Have a great rest of your day, and we’ll see you tomorrow bright and early!
